Writing that has been removed by solvents, erasure, photo- or chemical bleaching; faded with age, heat, or submersion; or obscured by inks or paints can be recovered. Original images in faded, damaged, or altered photographs can be restored.
Zaubertek's technique is more sensitive than deacidification, electrostatic imaging, infrared reflectance, or luminescence. No alteration is made to the original document. The recovered writing is imaged on film.
